Bluelake
Terms of Use
Version 2.0 · October 4, 2026
1. Purpose and acceptance
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Bluelake service, operated by Bluelake, a French simplified joint-stock company (société par actions simplifiée) with a share capital of 10,000 €, registered at 60 rue François 1er, 75008 Paris, France (SIREN 101 883 510, R.C.S. Paris). You accept them each time you sign in to Bluelake, and Bluelake records your acceptance and the version you accepted.
Bluelake may update these Terms. Each new version is published on this page with its date and applies from your next sign-in. When a change reduces your rights or adds to your obligations, Bluelake tells you by email at least 30 days before publishing it, and you may stop using Bluelake and delete your account in the meantime.
2. Access and plans
Bluelake is offered on three plans: Free, with a monthly allowance of credits and no payment details; Beta, an access that Bluelake grants free of charge, with a grant of credits; and Pro, a paid plan (see section 7). The features of each plan are described in Bluelake and on our pricing page. Access is personal, tied to your professional email address, and may not be assigned or shared. Bluelake grants Beta access at its discretion and may end it or move it to the Free plan. Bluelake may suspend or withdraw access at any time in the event of a breach of these Terms.
3. Description of the service, nature of the information
Bluelake provides a read of the Data & AI organizations of large companies, built from public professional data that is structured and analyzed using algorithmic processing, including artificial-intelligence models, and, when a user asks for them, from professional contact details provided by a specialized provider.
You acknowledge that the information presented in Bluelake (in particular projects, thematic groupings, movements, seniority levels and profile qualifications) is in part the result of automated inference from public statements, and that the answers, summaries and drafts of Billy, Bluelake's assistant, are generated by an artificial-intelligence model and may be incomplete or inaccurate. All of it is provided "as is", as decision support, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or timeliness: check it before relying on it. It does not constitute advice, a recommendation, or certified data. Any decision made on the basis of Bluelake is your sole responsibility.
4. Permitted and prohibited use
Bluelake is for sales intelligence: identifying, understanding and engaging the companies covered by the service, for sales, marketing, partnership or business development purposes, in the scope of your professional activity at your organization. It is not a recruiting tool: the data Bluelake holds about the professionals in its database may not be used to source, screen, contact or recruit them as job candidates. You may, on the other hand, use your own data, such as the profiles of your consultants and candidates from your CRM or from a file you attach, to find the accounts and projects that fit them. In particular, you may not:
- use the data Bluelake holds about the professionals in its database, or anything obtained from it, to identify, evaluate, solicit or recruit them for employment or engagement, or for any other recruitment or talent sourcing purpose;
- extract, copy or substantially reconstitute the content of Bluelake (scraping, automated extraction, exports beyond those the service offers, building parallel databases);
- resell, redistribute, publish or make Bluelake's data or analyses available to third parties outside your organization;
- contact a professional whose details you obtained through Bluelake other than in compliance with the law on business prospecting: a message related to their professional role, the information that data protection law requires, and an easy way to object, honored without delay;
- build files on individuals, re-identify or enrich profiles outside a legitimate professional purpose, or otherwise use Bluelake's data contrary to applicable law;
- attach a document you are not allowed to share, or more personal data than your question needs;
- circumvent the technical access or rate-limiting measures of the service;
- use the service to develop a competing product or service.
5. Intellectual property
Bluelake, its structure, interface, analyses, aggregates and database are the exclusive property of Bluelake (including under the sui generis right of the database producer). These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right of use, limited to the duration of your access. No other right is granted. What you bring to Bluelake (your questions, the files you attach, the data of the tools you connect) remains yours; you grant Bluelake the right to use it to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy and, for the data processed on behalf of your company, our Data Processing Agreement.
6. Connected tools
When your team connects a tool to Bluelake (its CRM, its Slack workspace, or your Google account), you confirm that you are authorized to do so. Bluelake reads and writes in that tool only as described in our Privacy Policy: it writes to your CRM only what you validate, prepares Gmail drafts without ever sending them, and answers in Slack only when you write to it. Your use of these tools remains governed by your own terms with their providers. Your team can disconnect them at any time from the Integrations page.
7. Plans and credits
Some actions use credits, for example revealing the people behind an account, reading a project's full narrative, asking Billy a question or searching for a professional's contact details. The Free plan includes a monthly allowance of credits, Beta access a grant of credits, and the Pro plan a monthly allotment. Your balance, and what used your credits, are shown in Bluelake.
Paid plans are billed in advance, on a monthly basis, through our payment processor (Stripe), unless your company has agreed otherwise in writing with Bluelake; the applicable price and taxes are shown at checkout. Credits are a prepaid usage allowance: they have no cash value, are non-refundable and non-transferable, and unused credits do not carry over from one period to the next unless stated otherwise at checkout. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing and your plan remains active until the end of the current paid period.
8. Personal data
The processing of personal data within Bluelake is described in our Privacy Policy, and, for the public professional data that is restituted, on our Your professional data and Our approach to data pages. When Bluelake processes personal data on behalf of your company, such as the files your users attach to Billy or what Billy reads in the tools your team connects, it acts as your company's processor under our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these Terms and, on that data, prevails over them. If you process data from Bluelake for your own purposes, including the contact details you obtain, you act as a separate controller and undertake to comply with applicable law.
9. Availability and changes
Bluelake is provided without any commitment as to availability, continuity or service level, unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise. Data and analyses are refreshed periodically, with no guarantee as to frequency. Bluelake may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service; on a paid plan, Bluelake tells you in advance of a change that significantly reduces the service, and you may then cancel.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Bluelake is not liable for indirect damage, loss of opportunity, loss of data or business decisions based on the information in the service. For access provided free of charge, Bluelake's liability for the use of Bluelake is excluded to the extent permitted by law. For paid plans, Bluelake's aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes Bluelake's liability in the event of gross negligence, willful misconduct, or personal injury.
11. Termination
You may stop using Bluelake at any time and delete your account from My profile: access is closed immediately, and your account data is permanently erased within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may also write to privacy@getbluelake.ai. Bluelake may terminate access in the event of a breach of these Terms, without notice in the event of a serious breach (bulk extraction, redistribution).
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, subject to applicable mandatory public-policy rules.
